Hexaethyleneglycol di(p-toluenesulfonate) has been shown to interact with other ligands, such as carbonyl ligands. Hexaethyleneglycol di(p-toluenesulfonate) is also a fluorescent compound. The x-ray crystal structures of this compound have been shown to be stable at room temperature, which makes it a useful product for chemosensors.
