The chemical structure of 3,5,6,7,8,3',4'-heptamethoxyflavone is a type of flavonoid that has been shown to inhibit the production of melanin in skin cells. This molecule has significant cytotoxicity against tumor cells and protects against neuronal death. 3,5,6,7,8-Heptamethoxyflavone inhibits phosphodiesterase activity in brain tissue and decreases camp levels in rat brain tissue.
