Description

1-(2-Hydroxyethyl)-2-imidazolidinone is a chemical compound that is structurally related to 2-aminoethanol. It is soluble in water and polar organic solvents. 1-(2-Hydroxyethyl)-2-imidazolidinone has been shown to be a substrate for matrix metalloproteinases, which are enzymes that break down the extracellular matrix of cells.
