Description

1,6-Hexanediol diglycidylether is a reactive functional group that has been used in the production of polyurethane elastomers. It is also used as a cross-linking agent and polymerization initiator. The reactive functional group has been shown to form intramolecular hydrogen bonds, which are important for the formation of polyurethanes. 1,6-Hexanediol diglycidylether is an exothermic compound that reacts with deionized water, forming carbon dioxide and hydrogen gas.
