Description:
Homobrassinolide is a physiological function regulator of plants that has been shown to inhibit ATP-binding cassette transporter and carbonic anhydrase. Homobrassinolide also inhibits the activity of proteases, which are enzymes that break down proteins in cells. Homobrassinolide has been shown to be active against lipid peroxidation and membrane hyperpolarization. It is not yet known what role this compound plays in plant physiology.
