6-Hydroxyluteolin is a flavonol that belongs to the genus Scutellarein. It has been found to inhibit the influenza virus through its interaction with the scutellarin receptor in influenza virus. 6-Hydroxyluteolin has been shown to have an inhibitory effect on chemiluminescence, which is a measure of hydrogen peroxide production by phagocytic cells. This inhibition may be due to its ability to alter or interfere with the activity of enzymes involved in the production of hydrogen peroxide. 6-Hydroxyluteolin also inhibits transcriptase activity, which is necessary for viral replication and transcription. It also inhibits protein synthesis at a molecular level, by binding to the ribosome and inhibiting peptide bond formation. The molecular model of 6-hydroxyluteolin shows that it has a dry weight of 182.14 Da and contains a hydroxy group and two acetate groups as well as four flavonol gly
