Description:2-Hydroxybenzylamine is a dietary supplement that is used to prevent atherosclerosis and cardiovascular disease. These effects may be due to its ability to inhibit the enzyme fatty acid synthase. 2HBA also has a protective effect against oxidative injury by reducing the release of reactive oxygen species from mitochondria in cultured cells.
