Description:
1-Hydroxymethyl-1-methylcyclohexane is a biodiesel that has been shown to be a good solvent for nonpolar compounds and can also be used as a reaction medium in organic synthesis. It has a relatively high boiling point and is soluble in both water and other nonpolar solvents. 1-Hydroxymethyl-1-methylcyclohexane is also known for its conformational properties and ability to bind to fatty acids, which are the main components of biodiesel.
