The mechanism of action of 1-O-hexadecyl 2-O-acetyl sn glycero 3 phosphate choline may be through inhibition of lipoxygenase and acetylcholine release, as well as an increase in tissue plasminogen activator (tPA) and plasminogen activator inhibitor (PAI).
