• Description: Hydrazine Dihydrobromide Hydrate is a sulfamic acid derivative with a hydroxy group and two nitrogen atoms. It is used as an intermediate in the production of other compounds, such as copper oxide. Hydrazine Dihydrobromide Hydrate has been shown to inhibit leukotriene receptor activity by binding to the receptor-bound form of 5-lipoxygenase and preventing the conversion of arachidonic acid to leukotrienes. This inhibition leads to decreased inflammation. The compound has also been used as a catalyst for organic reactions, such as acrylonitrile polymerization and metal surface reaction.Hydrazine Dihydrobromide Hydrate can be obtained through thermal decomposition or by reacting hydrazine with bromo-hydrochloric acid in an organic solvent at elevated temperatures (150°C).
