Description:
6-Hydroxy-2,3,4-trimethoxyacetophenone (6HTMA) is a natural product that has been shown to have potent inhibitory activities against PC12 cells. This compound also possesses neuroprotective and antioxidative properties. 6HTMA was able to inhibit acetylation of proteins, which may be responsible for its neuroprotective activity. Furthermore, 6HTMA has been shown to possess anti-oxidant and anti-tuberculous activities.
