Description:Trans-3-Hydroxystilbene (trans-3HSB) is a natural phenolic compound that has been shown to have anti-cancer effects. This compound inhibits the proliferation of cancer cells and induces apoptosis in pancreatic cancer cells by inhibiting casein kinase 2, which regulates protein synthesis and cell cycle progression. Trans-3HSB also inhibits the expression of survivin, a protein that protects cancer cells from apoptosis. It has chemopreventive effects against skin cancer in mice by inducing caspases and glucuronide conjugate formation.
