Description:
4'-Hydroxyflavone is a flavonoid derivative that has been shown to inhibit the function of the efflux pump. This leads to an increase in intracellular concentrations of several drugs, such as 5-hydroxyflavone and biochanin, which are also flavonoids. 4'-Hydroxyflavone is not active against xanthine oxidase inhibitors. It may be useful for the treatment of diabetes, osteoporosis, and cancer because it inhibits the activity of protein kinases.
