Description

Hinokitiol is a natural compound that has been shown to be an effective antimicrobial agent. It has been shown to inhibit the growth of oral pathogens, such as Candida albicans, and also inhibits the growth of cancer cells. A recent study found that hinokitiol induced autophagy in several human carcinoma cell lines. Although more research is needed to confirm this finding, it may have therapeutic benefits for cancer patients.
