Description:2-Indanone is a molecule with the chemical formula C6H2O. The synthesis starts with a zirconium dichloride and triethyl orthoformate, which are then oxidized to form naphthalene and carbonyl group, respectively. The enolate group is then formed by adding an alkoxide ion or base to the ketone.
