1-Iodo-3-(trifluoromethyl)benzene is a reagent used in cross-coupling reactions to form carbon-carbon and carbon-heteroatom bonds. It is soluble in organic solvents, such as benzene and tetrahydrofuran. 1-Iodo-3-(trifluoromethyl)benzene can be used as an organic fluorophore or as an electrophilic halogenating agent.
