Incensole is a natural compound that has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties. It has been studied for its potential use in the treatment of inflammatory bowel disease and bowel disease. Incensole has also been shown to inhibit the growth of human pathogens, including bacteria and fungi. Incensole was identified as an inhibitor of x-ray radiation-induced damage in HL60 cells through molecular docking analysis. The compound was found to bind to the mitochondrial membrane potential, which may be related to its anti-inflammatory activities. Incensole was found to have an inhibitory dose at around 10 µM.
