Product Information

Name:
Ipronidazole-d3
Description:

Ipronidazole-d3 is a synthetic compound that has been used to investigate the matrix effect in fenbendazole sulfone. It has also been used as an analytical method for hydroxide solution and validation of sodium hydroxide solution. Ipronidazole-d3 can be prepared by reacting 5-iodo-2,4-dimethoxybenzaldehyde with 2,4-dichloropyrimidine in the presence of a base. The reaction product is purified by recrystallization from ethyl acetate and then dissolved in ethanol, yielding a yellow solid that is soluble in water. Ipronidazole-d3 is used to identify tissues from animals, such as muscle tissue and skin tissues, by staining them with it. It has also been used to study amoebiasis and bacterial vaginosis using histological techniques.
