Description:
Isotachysterol 3 is a compound that has been identified in the leaves of the plant Isotachys scoparius. It is an inhibitor of intestinal absorption and has been used to study its effects on vitamin D3 metabolism. Isotachysterol 3 appears to be a mixture of two stereoisomers, which can be separated by chromatographic methods.
