This polymer also has an intramolecular hydrogen bond that forms between the glyceric group and the hydroxyl group. Computational methods have been used to predict how this polymer might behave in an electrochemical impedance spectroscopy experiment, while histological analysis has shown that this polymer does not cause any tissue damage.
