Iron trifluoromethanesulfonate is an inorganic compound that is used as a catalyst in organic reactions. It is a salt of iron(III) and triflic acid, with the formula Fe(O)(CF). It has been shown to be a cocatalyst for benzofuran derivatives and can be used to synthesize methyl ketones, alkylation products, diarylmethanes, primary alcohols, and cleavage products.
