Product Information
Name:1-Iodonaphthalene
Synonyms:
- 1-Naphthyl Iodide
Brand:Biosynth
Description:1-Iodonaphthalene is a nucleophilic aromatic hydrocarbon. It has a redox potential of +0.98 V, which makes it a strong nucleophile that can react with electron-rich molecules to form covalent bonds. In the presence of palladium and base, 1-iodonaphthalene reacts with trifluoroacetate salts in an electrophilic addition reaction to form an intermediate trifluoroacetate salt, which then undergoes a palladium-catalyzed coupling reaction to produce the desired product. The halides are oxidized by 1-iodonaphthalene in order from the most reactive to least reactive: I > Br > Cl > F. The monoclonal antibody is one of the most effective antibodies for identifying cancer cells and tumor antigens. A laser ablation technique is used for isolating antibody fragments from cell culture supernatants for use in diagnostic testing and research purposes.
