Jaconine is a chemical compound that is an n-oxide of aconite roots. It has been shown to have inhibitory effects on cancer cells and infectious diseases. Jaconine inhibits the growth of various bacteria, including Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and Salmonella enterica serovar Typhimurium.
