Kombic acid is a dietary supplement that contains glycerides of fatty acids. It was developed as an animal health supplement and has been used to treat inflammatory diseases, such as arthritis. Kombic acid may also have anti-cancer properties and can be used for the treatment of microbial infections in animals. The effective dose is not yet known, but it seems to be safe at doses up to 1g/kg body weight. This compound is composed of polyunsaturated fatty acids with 20 carbon atoms, which are regarded as essential nutrients in animals.
