The structure of kanamycin B sulfate was determined by powder x-ray diffraction, which showed that it is a crystalline material with a molecular weight of 524.3 Da. Kanamycin B sulfate is also an aminoglycoside antibiotic with anti-viral properties, which can be used as antiviral agents against virus type 1 (HIV).
