Description:H-Lys-AMC is a proteolytic enzyme preparation that was originally isolated from the bacterium Staphylococcus epidermidis. It is active against a wide range of bacteria, including Staphylococcus aureus, and has been shown to inhibit the growth of these bacteria in vitro. Carboxypeptidase activity has been demonstrated using an ion-exchange chromatography technique on S. epidermidis culture supernatants. H-Lys-AMC has also been shown to have antibiotic sensitivity against many strains of bacteria, including S. epidermidis and staphylococci.
