Product Information
Luteolin-7-rutinoside (L7R) is a flavone luteolin found in plants of the family Asteraceae, such as lettuce. L7R has been shown to have antioxidative properties and may be a natural compound that can control oxidative stress. L7R is considered to be the major phenolic acid in lettuce. Luteolin-7-rutinoside has been shown to inhibit the phosphorylation of toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4), which is an inflammatory response protein that plays a role in the innate immune system. Luteolin-7-rutinoside also inhibits TLR2 and TLR3, which are proteins involved in bacterial recognition and activation of proinflammatory cytokines.
