Description

(-)-beta-Lumicolchicine is a cytosolic Ca2+ ionophore that binds to the gamma-aminobutyric acid receptor. It has been shown to inhibit the activity of actin filaments and inhibit cellular organelle movement. (-)-beta-Lumicolchicine is also an activator of protein kinase C, which may be clinically relevant.
