Description:Light stabilizer 3346 is an antimicrobial agent that binds to the bacterial efflux pump and prevents its function. It has been shown to be effective against a wide range of Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria as well as fungi, but not against viruses. This product is active against methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus and erythromycin resistant Enterococcus faecium. Light stabilizer 3346 has been shown to have a synergistic effect with other antimicrobials such as tetracycline, ampicillin, or chloramphenicol. In addition, this compound has been shown to have no inhibitory effect on hepatic lipase in rats.
