N-Methyl-tert-butylamine is an anticancer agent that belongs to the class of organometallic. It is a mononuclear amine with a reactive chlorine atom, which can react with hydrosilanes in the presence of a catalyst to form an anticancer potential. N-Methyl-tert-butylamine has been shown to inhibit cancer cell growth and induce apoptosis by binding to DNA and inhibiting ribonucleotide reductase, thereby blocking deoxyribonucleotide synthesis. This agent also inhibits the proliferation of cells through intramolecular hydrogen transfer reactions and exhibits antiangiogenic activity by inhibiting VEGF expression. NMTBA has also been shown to have anticancer potential against various types of cancer, including breast cancer, colon cancer, prostate cancer, and leukemia.
