There have been no reports of adverse effects from administration of this drug, with the exception of nausea and vomiting, which were reported at doses greater than 30 mg/kg. Pharmacokinetic studies indicate that methyl azetidine-3-carboxylate hydrochloride does not accumulate in lymphocytes or other tissues following repeated oral doses, but instead is excreted rapidly via urine.
