(R)-2-Methyl-5-(prop-1-en-2-yl)cyclohex-2-enone is an organic compound that has been shown to induce apoptosis in prostate cancer cells. It also had a significant effect on locomotor activity in mice. This compound has been shown to have acute toxicities, and its phase transition temperature is below room temperature. It can be used as a fumigant and an inorganic acid, and it has been proposed as a potential fluorescence probe for natural compounds.
