Product Information

Name:
Methyl [2-(3,3-diphenylpropyl-methyl-amino)-1,1-dimethyl-ethyl] 2,6-dimethyl-4-(3-nitrophenyl)-1,4-dihydropyridine-3,5-dicarboxylate
Description:

Lercanidipine hydrochloride is a calcium channel blocker that relaxes the blood vessels and lowers blood pressure. It has been shown to prevent cytosolic Ca2+ overload by inhibiting the influx of calcium ions from the extracellular environment. Lercanidipine also inhibits fetal bovine serum protein synthesis, glycol ester lipids, and matrix metalloproteinase-9 activity in human liver cells. Lercanidipine has been used for cardiovascular diseases such as congestive heart failure and hypertension, as well as for other conditions such as renal failure or diabetes mellitus.
