Description:
N-Methoxy-N-methyltrifluoroacetamide is a histone deacetylase inhibitor. It has been shown to inhibit the activity of cholinesterases, which are enzymes that break down acetylcholine in the brain and nervous system. This drug has also been shown to be neuroprotective by inhibiting the accumulation of neurofibrillary tangles in the brain, which are responsible for Alzheimer's disease. N-Methoxy-N-methyltrifluoroacetamide has also been shown to be an effective inhibitor of β-amyloid aggregation.
