3-Methyl-1,5-pentanediol is a monomer that is used to make polymers. It is often used in the production of glycol ethers, which are used as solvents or plasticizers. 3-Methyl-1,5-pentanediol has a hydroxyl group at position 3 and a viscosity of 0.822 dL/g.
