Description:
Methoxytrimethylsilane is a chemical compound with the molecular formula of CH3OSi(CH2)3SiH. It is a colorless liquid that has no odor or taste. Methoxytrimethylsilane has three functional groups: a hydroxyl group, a reactive functional group, and a neutral ph. This chemical is an important precursor to polymers such as polydimethylsiloxane and silicone rubber. Methoxytrimethylsilane is also used as a catalyst in many organic reactions, such as the Aldol cyclization reaction.
