Product Information
MRT 68921 dihydrochloride is a novel anthelmintic drug that inhibits the formation of autophagosomes. It has been shown to be effective against nematodes, such as parasitic nematodes and free-living nematodes, which are parasites that live in animals' intestines. The drug blocks the formation of autophagosomes by inhibiting key proteins involved in autophagy, preventing the degradation of cellular components and thus killing the parasite. MRT 68921 dihydrochloride binds to a conserved region in the cysteine protease domain of the protein Atg4B, thereby inhibiting its activity. This inhibition prevents the degradation of cellular components and leads to cell death.
