Methyl 2-nonenoate is a natural compound that has been found to have anti-cancer activity. It is a cyclic ester of a fatty acid and is an analog of methyl nonanoate. Methyl 2-nonenoate has shown to be a rate enhancement for the production of lipids, which are important for cell growth and survival. It also has anti-oxidant properties and can inhibit the growth of some cancer cells.
