Description:MGK 264 is a pyrimidine compound that has been shown to be effective against a wide range of animal species. MGK 264 inhibits the activity of epoxide hydrolase, which catalyzes the hydrolysis of epoxides, including 2,6-dichloro-1,4-benzoquinone (DHQ). MGK 264 also inhibits other detoxification enzymes such as CYP2C11, CYP2C19, CYP2D6, and CYP3A4. These enzymes are responsible for the metabolism of various drugs and environmental chemicals. Inhibition of these enzymes leads to increased half-lives for these drugs in vivo.
