• Description: Mesitaldehyde is a diazonium salt that is synthesized by the reaction of nitrosyl chloride and sodium carbonate in an acidic solution. This chemical has been studied for its potential use as a therapeutic drug due to its ability to inhibit the enzyme dpp-iv, which is involved in the development of diabetic neuropathy. Mesitaldehyde has also been shown to be an inhibitor of malonic acid, ethylmalonic acid and other organic acids.
