Description:

Methomyl oxime is a backup solution for use in the event of an accidental release of toxic materials. Methomyl oxime is an organic solution that can be used to decontaminate a surface that has been contaminated with a toxic material. It can be applied by spraying or dipping and will react with the chloride ions in blood, copper oxide, or wastewater to form a copper salt and chloramine gas. Methomyl oxime can also be used as an analytical reagent for detecting low levels of organic materials such as acetaldehyde in samples containing carbon sources. This reagent can be used in chromatographic methods for the analysis of musca.
