The primary mechanism for degradation of this chemical is acetylation, which converts it into acetic acid and methyl acetate. 3-Methyl-4-nitro-N-acetylbenzeneamine can also be degraded by aerobic soil bacteria with the help of fatty acids. This chemical is not toxic to humans or animals and does not affect crop plants.br>
