Description:Monomethyl phthalate (MMP) is a metabolite of di-2-ethylhexyl phthalate (DEHP). MMP is an environmental contaminant that is known to be toxic. It can cause adverse effects on the environment and human health. MMP has been shown to have strong antibacterial properties, which may be due to its hydroxyl group and intramolecular hydrogen.
