Description:
2-Methoxy-6-methylbenzoic acid ethyl ester is a Grignard reagent that can be used in the synthesis of ethylmagnesium halides. It is used as an intermediate in the preparation of stereoisomers and geometric isomers. This reagent can also be used to prepare polyunsaturated compounds, such as natural products or drugs. 2-Methoxy-6-methylbenzoic acid ethyl ester can also be used to synthesize salicylic acid and alkylate phenols.
