Description:
Rel-(1R,2S)-1,2-Diphenyl-1,2-ethanediamine is an anti-herpes drug that has shown to be active against herpes simplex virus type 1 and 2. Rel-(1R,2S)-1,2-Diphenyl-1,2-ethanediamine binds to the heparin binding site of glycoproteins in the virus envelope and prevents the virus from binding to its target cells. This drug has also been shown to inhibit the activity of human plasma samples in a chromatographic method.
