Description

Methyl 3-(methylthio)propionate is an ester compound that is used as a food additive. It provides fatty acids and has linear response to phase chromatography. Methyl 3-(methylthio)propionate is also used in the synthesis of other organic compounds. This product has synergistic effects when mixed with other compounds, such as fatty acids. Methyl 3-(methylthio)propionate can be detected by chemiluminescence, which uses light-emitting substances that react with the methyl 3-(methylthio)propionate to produce light.
