Description:

(Methanesulphonyl)acetonitrile is a drug substance that is used in vitro. It is processable and can be used as a carboxylic acid precursor. The biological properties of (methanesulphonyl)acetonitrile have been studied in chronic bronchitis patients and the results showed that it has an effect on the oxygenation of erythrocytes and has a protective effect on the heart. The functional groups of (methanesulphonyl)acetonitrile are nitro and aryl halide, which are important for its optical properties. This drug also has stereoisomers, which form due to tautomers, or structural isomers. Solid phase microextraction can be used to extract this drug from blood samples because it's soluble in organic solvents.
