Description:
6-Methyl-1H-indole-3-carbaldehyde is a synthetic chemical that has been used as a reagent in the form of its sodium salt. It is an acetylating agent and can be used for formylation reactions. 6-Methyl-1H-indole-3-carbaldehyde has shown strong antifungal activity against phytopathogenic fungi such as Fusarium, Rhizoctonia, and Phytophthora. This chemical also has a triazine group, which can be used to enhance the herbicidal properties of certain compounds.
