Methylene Violet 3RAX is a trifluoroacetic acid derivative that is activated by the enzyme, esterase. It has been shown to have antimicrobial activity against a variety of microorganisms, including bacteria, fungi, and viruses. Methylene Violet 3RAX has also been shown to inhibit protease activity in vitro and to be effective against bone cancer cells in vivo. In addition, it has been detected at low concentrations in human plasma and urine samples. Methylene Violet 3RAX can be used as an analytical reagent for detection of chlorine atoms in organic compounds such as chlorinated solvents or pesticides. This product is also used in clinical trials for the treatment of cancer.
