3'-Methoxypuerarin is a chemical compound found in the plant Pueraria lobata, which is also known as kudzu. 3'-Methoxypuerarin has potent inhibitory activity against mitochondrial functions and is thought to have therapeutic potential for the treatment of cancer. 3'-Methoxypuerarin binds to hydrogen-bonded regions on the surface of proteins and blocks protein function. This chemical compound has been shown to be effective against hepg2 cells, a type of human hepatoma cell line. It also inhibits the expression of toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4) in mice, which may be related to its anti-inflammatory properties.
